Using some home medications can relieve mucous some extent.

How to get rid of phlegm in chest


Drinking quarter teaspoon pure turmeric powder in one glass lukewarm water will help to decrease the amount of mucous. Put a quarter teaspoon of turmeric powder in a glass of lukewarm water and add salt, drink it for three to four days will end the infection in chest.

Ginger


The required ingredients are three to four small pieces of ginger, one teaspoon of black pepper and one teaspoon of honey and two cups of water. Put ginger pieces and boil the water, drain it to the maximum and add some honey.

It is better to steam to quench the chronic phlegm. Boil five cups of water with the camphor basil leaves and hold its steam, it will speed up curing colds.

When steam caught on your face, there are certain things that can cause more harm than good. Do not hold steam continuously for more than five minutes on face. Never open your eyes when you hold steam, because it is harmful to eyes. It is better to cover your eyes with a damp cloth or else. Never put things like bam in hot water when you steam.

 

Basil (Tulsi)


Tulsi is a good remedy for cough. Take a few basil leaves, a slice of ginger and powdered black pepper,  put all these in a cup of water and boil. Drink it with hot. It also will help you to prevent coughing.

Honey tea


Honey is one of the best remedies for cough. Studies have shown that drinking two teaspoons of honey in warm water can help relieve coughing. Doctors warn that children under the age of one should not give honey for any reason.

Gargle with Salt water for get rid of phlegm in throat


Gargling with salt water  can relieve cough and sore throat. Add half a teaspoon of salt in 8 ounces of warm water and gargle.


Mint leaves


It is one of another best remedies for cough and phlegm. Drink mint tea or hold steam. Menthol in mint leaves is very good solution for curing cough.

Asthma


Asthma is a condition in which your airways become narrow, swollen, and produce excess mucus. It can make breathing difficult, and it can lead to coughing and shortness of breath.

Quail eggs


Quail eggs are good for alleviating asthma and cough.

Most children like to eat quail egg very much. It is rich in nutrients. Quail eggs are also more nutritious than chicken eggs.

Protein and Vitamin in Quail eggs


Containing 13% protein and 140% vitamin B, quail eggs are effective in preventing asthma and cough. It is rich in vitamin A, B6 and B12.

In quail eggs has a protein called Ovomucoid, which is not found in poultry egg. It resists to arthritis, chronic cough and respiratory diseases. (Ovomucoid: It is a protein found in egg whites.)
