Breast cancer awareness and seminar | Dr. Gangadharan 

Kochi: Dr V P Narasimharan said. Dr. Gangadharan led a pink balloon program at Kadavanthra Indira Gandhi Co-operative Hospital and organized a breast cancer awareness and seminar.

An eight-foot mirror  placed at entrance of the hospital to raise awareness about breast cancer for all women come to the  hospital. 

Former Syndicate Bank employee Anita Bhai, wife of Narasimha Bhatt, the resident of TD Road, who survived cancer, was the chief guest.

Studies show that breast cancer is on the rise among women in Kerala. If not found early, life itself is at risk.

Women will inspect themselves the breasts at regular intervals and must undergo cheaper and easier tests such as a mammogram if they notice any type of tumor or blockage. Said Dr. Gangadharan.

Hospital Secretary Ajay Tharayil, Director Iqbal Valiya veettil, C P R Babu, Medical Superintendent and Dr. C K Balan, Deputy Medical Superintendent, Dr. S Sachidanda Kamath, Dr. G Anupama and Nursing Superintendent AJ Darley led the program.
