Cholesterol is a problem that bothers many people today. But cholesterol is also essential for the body to do important functions such as digestion and vitamin D production. The foods we eat, especially meat, dairy products and chicken, are rich in cholesterol. When cholesterol is high, it builds up in the blood vessels. This will block the blood flow to the heart.

Eat Omega-3 Fatty Acid Rich Foods:

Eating foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids can help lower cholesterol. Fishes like Sardine, Salmon and Tuna are rich in omega-3 fatty acid.
Tea and Chocolate:
You can also use tea and chocolate to decrease bad cholesterol. Chocolate contains HDL or good cholesterol. Non-Milk Chocolate Items are also anti-oxidant. It also prevents cardiovascular blockage.Fat

Reducing the amount of fat in the body also helps to lower cholesterol. Eating more fatty food that is often increases cholesterol level in the body. So avoid fat, sweet and oily foods as much as possible.

Green Tea

Green tea is made from un-fermented leaves that are pale in color and slightly bitter in flavor, produced mainly in China and Japan.

Drinking a glass of green tea daily does not only help you lose weight but also helps you burn fat. The antioxidants in green tea help to lower cholesterol.

Do not eat Potatoes

Potato roasted is a favorite food of most people. But by eating these things, a certain type of fat known as trans fat is coming into our body. It is the fat that comes into the body through the food rather than the fats from the herbs or meat. This can lead to bad cholesterol   Garlic

Eat two to three petals of garlic daily to reduce bad cholesterol. Garlic is also great for eliminating unnecessary fat in your body. Daily use of garlic can decrease cholesterol.


Fitness

Exercising regularly for 1 hour every day can help lower cholesterol levels. Exercises like yoga, walking, swimming and aerobics can done.

The higher the cholesterol level, the higher the chances of a heart attack. Cholesterol is one of the most common causes of heart problems. The body has good cholesterol and bad cholesterol. It produces good cholesterol. This is known as HDL cholesterol.

Most people know that good cholesterol, HDL, is high in blood and good for heart health.

HDL is 50 for men and more than 50 for women. But many people's blood test results show low HDL.

To increase HDL, there are two important things to consider - exercise and dieting.


Exercising for 40-50 minutes daily - especially aerobic exercises like walking, cycling and swimming - increases HDL cholesterol by up to 10 percent. A five to ten percent reduction in body weight  and can also increase HDL.
 

Which foods helps to increase good cholesterol

1. Many foods can help boost good cholesterol. The most important ones are the Omega 3 fatty acids.

2. Fish - sardines, mackerel, cane, tuna, fish oils

3. Nuts - Almonds, walnuts, cashew nuts, peanuts.

4. Flax seed

5. Olive oil is an oil rich in omega-3-fatty acid. It can be used in salads. Mustard oil is also good. It can be used for cooking.
 

Foods like, green gram, soybeans, leafy vegetables, passion fruit and gram are also sources of good cholesterol. The soaked green gram are very effective. Red wine will benefit in very controlled quantities. 

Tips
  • Add ginger with yogurt and use it in your daily food. You can control your cholesterol.
  • Eating 3  petals of garlic daily can help control your cholesterol.
  • When you boil water for drinking, put 3 or 4 guava tree leaves in it and boil well. It will help you to control cholesterol.
  • Regular use of ginger and garlic helps to decrease cholesterol level.
